News Americas, NEW YORK, NY, Fri. Dec. 1, 2017: Two of the Caribbean’s top hotels have been given the distinct honor of being named among the world’s best hotels for 2017.
The latest annual survey from TripAdvisor shows one hotel in Grenada and one in the Turks & Caicos listed among top global hotels including in Hungary, Indonesia, Italy and Spain.
Taking the spot as the 13th best hotel in the world and the number one in the Caribbean is the Calabash Luxury Boutique Hotel in Lance aux Epines, Grenada. This 30-room resort, according to guests, combines five star service and luxury within a relaxed and intimate environment to create the ultimate Caribbean escape. All rooms face the sea and are laid out in a horseshoe shape. If you’re looking for more privacy, a pool suite is ideal or upgrade to the penthouse suite on one of the beautiful private villas on the adjacent secluded peninsula. This upscale hotel is 6 km from Maurice Bishop International Airport. Free breakfast is served in-room.
And taking the spot as the 14th best hotel in the world and only the second best in the Caribbean region is The Tuscany in Providenciales, Turks and Caicos. This 42 huge three-bedroom luxury condo resort is set on the Atlantic coast and is about 13 km from Providenciales International Airport and a short walk or drive to the island’s best shopping, dining, and golf help make up for shortcomings. Suites feature balconies with ocean views while amenities include an outdoor pool, a fitness room and two tennis courts. There’s no on-site restaurant, bar, or spa, but each suite contains a full kitchen, a picturesque beach and private chefs are also available if needed.
This year, the title of World’s Best Hotel went to the Aria Hotel Budapest by Library Hotel Collection in Budapest, Hungary.
